Jamie Shapiro is an actress, comedian, writer and singer from New York City.  She — unlike like any other aspiring actor in New York — is a recent grad from NYU’s Tisch School for Drama, Playwrights Horizons and Stonestreet Film & TV Studios.  

 

She writes comedy shows and does stand-up when she feels like it — really just when minor inconveniences on the MTA cause her to spiral.

Jamie is also the founder and co-director of the production company, Executive Witches.  She and her partners create and develop work by and for up-and-coming performing artists across disciplines.  They're dedicated to making people laugh and paying artists for their work. 

 

In addition to her performance work, Jamie is extremely dedicated to political and social activism, especially through her work for Abortion Access Front and NARAL.  

 

Jamie's has most recently appeared in her bedroom, opening the fridge in the kitchen and ultimately always deciding to eat more cheese, and occasionally the shower.
